By now many of you are aware that Remington Arms Company has announced a voluntary recall of Model 700T and Model Seven rifles with X-Mark Pro triggers. This recall affects weapons made as far back as 2006. It also affects weapons that were modified or converted into NFA weapons such as integrally suppressed rifles. To see if your serial number is affected, go here: xmprecall.remington.com . The NFA Branch has consistently held that transfer forms for bona fide repairs sent to a manufacturer and returned are not needed by law. However, a Form 5 *is* recommended. Since the repair process could take awhile, a conservative approach with documentation is recommended.
