Lo and behold a glimmer of progress at ATF. A Federal Register notice of requests for comment on changing the Form 1 to accept credit and debit cards! And combine information collected on other forms. I am told that Form 4 is already queued up for the same treatment...

Make sure that you send your comments to Gary.N.Schaible@usdoj.gov regarding this proposal. You might want to let him know that moving this form to an 8.5" x 14" format is a BAD idea!

I read this on the FB post, and someone commented about the new pages being on 8.5" x 14" legal form paper. Thiat would be a PITA to print forms since it is non typical standard paper. Wouldn't they have enough room after removing the CLEO sign off area to put the Credit/Debit Card collection area? If it is like the C&R FFL, only one copy will have the area to fill in to pay with CC while the other form is blanked out in that area.

What sucks is this will still not increase the time to get our approved forms back LOL

This is an intermediate step on the road to getting rid of CLEO. In the mean time... Please tell Gary that you do NOT want the form going on an 8.5 x 14!!!
