41F CLEO Notification Question

I am filing my first post-41F application soon. I have a question regarding the CLEO notification.

Do I just send the CLEO a copy of my Form and just be done with it? Or does the ATF forward it for me?

Also, if I send it to the CLEO myself, how does the ATF verify I did to make sure I am in compliance? I really want this first application to go smoothly post-41F.

There should be a CLEO copy for you to send. The new forms have that built in. You send it, not ATF. ATF does not verify that you sent it (just like with an FFL application or renewal). There are no requirements for how to send it. I've been using the Sheriff's fax to send it since I can get a received receipt with an image of the first page.
